The marketing was excellent, but so was the message and the product. We think this was a return to how democracy is supposed to work: of the People, by the People, for the People. Corporations and special interests are not people, and for the first time they also didn't elect our president. Although I doubt Ayn Rand would ever have thought this comparison would be made, I'm she would agree with the tenets of self-reliance, reason, ingenuity, civil disobedience, and unwavering principles as they have been shown by Barack Obama. The green entrepreneurs of tomorrow will have to be similar in this regard, pushing for the principle (clean energy) over the immediate results (implementation will take a while).
