Max Gladwell and Creative Citizen team up on an SEO white paper for the DIY set.
We collaborated with Creative Citizen to co-author a white paper: How blogging has democratized search engine optimization (SEO). It describes highly effective SEO practices that anyone can use without the expense of hiring an SEO firm or specialist and without having to resort to questionable tactics.
This paper provides an overview of how blogging platforms and wikis have effectively democratized SEO. This is do-it-yourself SEO, and it’s easy.
Considering the state of the economy, these are especially valuable tools for small businesses and startups. Maximizing your brand and product discoverability through major search engines like Google and Yahoo! is essential. But you don’t have to allocate scarce marketing dollars to do it effectively. As with much of social media marketing, there is plenty you can do on your own. It’s simply a matter of investing the time to learn about the basic tools and execute on a plan. This white paper is a great starting point.
