Just a quick note to continue this conversation. First, issues might not matter in an election unless that issue is the economy. It trumps everything and always has. Know your history.

Second, Palin was never a threat. She was always a sacrificial lamb, and that's how history will view her. Her political career is over, just as Ferraro's was. She stands no chance of ever getting elected to an office other than Alaska state senator, and even that's highly doubtful.

Sarah Palin hates polar bears. Seriously, she's suing the US Government to get them off the endangered species list so she can drill for oil in their habitat. How messed up is that !? And why aren't we hearing about that in the news?

C4Chaos: I noticed that today, as well. It really seems like we're now going through the motions b/c we have to. Choosing Palin is tantamount to giving up. I don't believe McCain knew about any of the baggage b/c it was just about finding a sacrificial lamb. At that point, it doesn't matter who the VP is. Just need a warm body. May as well make some history and tie the Dems for having a woman on the ticket. Tragic for women, we know. But that's all the Dems did in '84.
