NS,

The Tesla sports sedan is $60k and is expected to sell 10-20k cars.

The Tesla sports compact price wasn't announced.

... but they expect to sell 100k compacts so they must be planning to sell it for less than $60k.

The trend towards more affordable electric transportation is excellent. And although I agree with NS above that $60,000 is still out of reach for the average consumer, I don't think the price will need to come down by MUCH more. When you take into account the low operating and maintenance costs, the long-term affordability allows for a higher initial investment.

Tesla's sports compact sounds very tempting, but it is still way out of reach of the average joe at 60 grand. The Xebra from ZAP still is, IMHO the only viable and affordable EV sedan right now.
