Tweets of the Week & Green Streaming

May 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

Max Gladwell’s Tweets of the Week for May 3, 2008. Plus, a new Twitter tag for Green Streaming.

Below are a handful of Tweets that we favored over the past few days because they provide relevant links, thoughts, and ideas. If you don’t already, feel free to follow Max Gladwell on Twitter. And if you don’t know Twitter, check out this YouTube how-to video and sign up. It’s a great way to stay informed and keep track of friends and bloggers. This will become a weekly post.

Also, we’ve just started a new Twitter channel called #greenstream. This is a way to tag Tweets so they can be tracked and indexed, regardless of whether you’re following a person or not. The idea behind a greenstream Tweet is to answer the question, “What are doing that is green?” So if you’re shopping at a farmer’s market, donating to a good cause, drinking fair trade coffee, or riding a bike instead of driving, you’ll want to tag that Tweet with #greenstream. You can place this anywhere in the post to tag it. To track others, simply Twitter “track greenstream” and send it. You’ll get an automatic notification that “You’ll now receive updates matching ‘greenstream’.” Indeed, you can do this for any term. To stop tracking, simply Twitter “untrack ________”.
