Net neutrality is the basis of the social web. It’s like our right to vote. Granted, companies and wealthy individuals can exert undue political influence through lobbyists and donations, but an election i.e. democracy still comes down to one person, one vote. The Net and social web have been built on this same basic principle of equality. Certain telecom companies are seeking to tip the scales in favor of corporations and government, thereby undermining the Net and all of social media. Take notes and make sure you vote for the right candidates come November and beyond.
