Vice President Gore has updated his slide show, and it’s even more startling and compelling than seeing it for the first time on the big screen. The video is about 30 minutes long, but I urge you to watch and share. A welcome addition to the presentation is how Gore ties global poverty into the climate crisis and how addressing climate change through a carbon tax (the best means, according to most economists) will also address poverty. He then draws the analogy between a junkie finding veins in their toes when all others have failed and our quest to extract carbon-heavy and energy-intensive oil from tar sands.
